Australia's longest running boxing magazine
The Fist Boxing Magazine has been going for more than 18 years, making it Australia's longest running and best boxing magazine.
Originally created by Herald Sun journalist Grantlee Kiaza, The Fist has had three owners, with the present publishers, Damien and Belinda Shields, purchasing the magazine three years ago from Sonny and Sue Berglund, who had the magazine for the previous six years.
The Fist Boxing Magazine has a long and proud history of supporting boxing in Australia and also maintaining the best international coverage.
The strength of The Fist is in its national and worldwide network of contributors, including the best boxing writers in Australia and the world, supported by the best of the boxing photographers.
In Australia, the list of respected columnists include John Hogg, Matt Daniels, Haris Mores, Paul Upham, Tony Pritchard-Nobbs and many more listed below. They are supported by world class writers such as Robert Mladinich, Bernard Fernandez, Gavin Evans, Pete Moscardi, Joe Koizumi and many more around the world.
The Fist also boasts the best ring photographers in Australia, including Tim Barry, Craig Clifford, Werner Kalin and more with international support from Tom Hogan and his team, Ed Mulholland and more.
Australia's leading boxing mag is published monthly, including updates from the boxing events in each state, along with fight photos and columns about the latest news impacting boxing.
The present owners, Damien & Belinda Shields are based in Queensland and appreciate the opportunity to contribute to Australia's rich boxing history. Their hope is to continually improve The Fist and respond to the challenges boxing faces and promote the sport in a positive light.
The Fist Online will support the The Fist Magazine in its efforts to respond to the readers and also convert more readers to the "sweet science"
